Ethiopia, another fascinating country is awaiting us. One of only two African nations to retain their sovereignty from long-term colonialism by a European colonial power. (Yes, the Italians colonized it for 6 years but that is such a short period compared to the rest of Africa that it almost doesn’t count). One of the oldest Christian country and the place where the first signs of anatomically modern humans has been found. Once again a fascinating but challenging part of our journey is awaiting us as we will have to defeat the steep Ethiopian hills to have the chance to discover the beauty of this country.
